Growing one new grade each subsequent year through 6th grade. Located on the same campus as our well established Pre-school we now offer an expanded program in Elementary Education. In addition to the farm atomoshere with gardens and animals, students will experience a program which enhances a child's natural development to learn. Strong emphasis on Reading, Writing, and Math skills with HANDS-ON approach to learing. Small class size allows for better teacher student interaction.
It is Town & Country Academy's purpose to provide a comprehensive curriculum that is broad based and rich in content which will challenge and motivate all students to achieve his/her potential. Teaching young children is a systematic and age appropriate manner is a key element in building a lifelong love of learning. Emphasis is placed on basic academic skills, character education, responsible citizenship and critical thinking. In addition we will focus on developing positive self-esteem, self-direction, independent work habits and an acceptance of responsibility.
Reading education consists of daily independent reading workshops that enable students to build good reading habits so they fall in love with reading. Math time will consist of teacher directed activities for introduction of new concepts and reinforcement of learned concepts. Children develop an understanding of number concepts through experiences with real things rather than symbols. Writing education occurs daily at Town & Coumntry Academy. Writing workshops begin with a mini-lesson from the teacher about a specific writing strategy or skill. Students the go off to do their own writing about topics taken from personal experience that are important to them.
